Protecting our Children

I have 4 beautiful children...three boys and one little girl and they are all under the age of 10.  I love them with everything in me and if they even so much as get a bloody nose i am totally freaking out.  That being said I would like to talk about something that haunts me daily, that makes me cry when i see it on TV or read it in the paper.....I have seen a staggering amount of reports about parents killing their children in the past year alone!  What is happening?  Now lets get real for a second...there are days where my kids drive me nuts and i "want"to ring their little necks.  But to actually "do" that to them...it would never happen.  What is happening?  Mothers are killing their children, significant others are killing children.  This topic brings tears to my eye's because a child looks to us as their parents, or us as adults period for protection and love.

Our duty as adults, parents, people, society is TO PROTECT OUR CHILDREN! They are the future, they are the reason we work every day and attempt to make this world a better place.  The world has become a place where people look the other way and it outrages me.  If i thought for a second that i could possibly hurt one of my children...I would leave and seek help..that would be my way of protecting them.  If I saw signs that someone i knew was hurting my child and could lead to something worse...I would never let my child around that person again.

I recently read that a mother killed her baby and threw him under a bush and went back to sleep!!! I see over and over "they would not stop crying", "i didn't know what to do", "i just couldn't take it anymore"!!!  There has to be a time where a person has to drop the pride or ego or whatever it is and ASK FOR HELP!!! Send the kid to the neighbor, call a relative or friend...just do not abuse the child.

When my husband wrestles around with our children and one of the boys can't get out of a hold that my husband has them in they start yelling "mommy mommy" and they want me to come "save them"...of course i say "alright that's enough" and  my husband and children untangle themselves and then the kids attack him because they are free...the point of this little story is...the children expected me to save them or protect them..although they were just playing around they knew that i would make it better, make it stop.  What about the children who's own mother is the one they need protection from...imagine the feeling that comes over them when they realize that their mother is going to kill them or abuse them.  It kills my heart to even think about what could have ran through the minds of some of the victims that are shown or wrote about on the shows and newspapers

I bring this up not to depress you but to just open your eyes and if you see ANYTHING out of place please help that child.  If they look abused, if you notice something off...if your instincts tell you something is not right...look into it, have someone look into it, keep a close eye, DO SOMETHING!  Please do not turn the other way.  I read somewhere that there was a man kicking and slamming a child around in a STORE!  No one did anything about it...oh i woulda...well i will not say what i would have done but the fact is there were grown adults in that same store that just turned the other way while this man kicked this child and threw him down repeatedly on the floor and hit him and the kid was like 2 or 3!

If you are a parent that has an issue with hurting your child or get urges to hurt your child please do not be afraid to get help..and know that all parents get stressed out with their children and feel alone and overwhelmed...just please find another alternative than putting your hands on the child.  No matter what that child love you and thinks that you are like god.

Welcome...

Welcome readers to my first blog...the title is interesting huh?  I grew up in a trailer and lived in a few trailer parks in my day.  This blog is not to stereotype people...this blog and my opinions of Trailer Park life are based on MY experiences, actual events, so whatever I post...I ask that it is not taken offensive by anyone and the stories i may tell are simply MY stories of my Trailer Park life.  First of all...in my opinion and life experience atleast, once your trailer park...your always trailer park.  My trailer dwelling days were filled with laughter and freedom to run free and enjoy my childhood.  I grew up and experienced life and went on to have 4 children...someone said to me once that it seemed like i was having babies left and right and I said "I'm trailer park b****, that's what i do"...again please take no offense to what i say...it's just that the trailer park i lived in had people with babies all over the place.  God said to make our seed many didn't he?LOL.

As you can tell this is going to be a place where it is okay to let your hair down.  We will discuss current events and issues in America, whats safe and unsafe for our babies, what is safe for us...and how our days are going...as well as some good ole fashion trailer park stories.  Here and there i will post stories from my trailer park days and stories from those that are close to me.  You may laugh, cry, roll your eyes...whatever...there will be a point to all of the stories i share.

I was told by several people one time that the stereotype for people that live in a trailer park are that they are welfare bumming, drunks, wife beaters, no good white trash....REALLY!!  First and foremost people from the trailer park that i am from worked their butts off for a little bit of nothing, and yes they would come home and have a beer....but that is no different than someone from a corporate office going for drinks after work with co-workers.  Truth be told, I am going to have a few stories that involve drunk people in the trailer park but hey...most stereotypes start with a little seed of truth i suppose.  Also, you don't have to live in a trailer park to be a wife beater...you can find them everywhere.  I have been called white trash before...because i have 4 kids and get medical assistance for them...I work 5 days, 40 hours a week so my taxes pay for whatever welfare i receive..yet I was still being called white trash? White trash...I don't know what to say about this...everyone's opinion on what considers a person white trash differs...you tell me world...what is your definition of white trash? My reason for this topic is to let you all know that it does not matter what color you are or where you live...EVERYONE deals with some sort of discrimination.  I have several stories that i will share with you all later on.
