Jesus had a wife?

So...I read today that Jesus may have had a wife.  Apparently some writing was found where Jesus said "My wife..." and something about her being one of his disciples.  The Vatican is having a fit over this of course...as they do anything that has to do with Jesus possibly having a mate.  When the book called Da Vinci Code came out the Vatican flared up at that, as well as the book Angels and Demons.  One suggests that Jesus has a blood line, that Mary Magdalene was his wife and they had a child.  The other book brings to light the mysterious Illuminati.

Lets think about this for a minute.  Jesus was probably in his late 30's to 40's when he was murdered on the cross...he was a man made in God's image as were we.  Would it be so horrible if Jesus had a wife?  Why is this even an issue for people.  Just because Jesus may have been married does not take away the awesomeness of his legacy.  It does not change the fact that Jesus was the son of God, that he was a blessing to us all, that he was a miracle worker.

Him possibly being married is really no big deal.  Also...just because the bible refers to Mary Magdalen as a prostitute does not really mean she was one.  This may have been done deliberately to make her look unimportant to future readers of that information, the people had a very dominating higher power back then.  Either way...I just want to put out there that Jesus being married is not that big of a deal.

If Jesus was married my heart goes out to the woman that had to stand there and watch him die the way he did.  Hopefully the scientists can get to the bottom of this and find out if this writing has any merit.  I think it is funny that with all the crazy things going on in this world, the priests molesting children and stuff...and this little thing gets the Vatican in a rage.  REALLY!  I think they need to worry more about the people in their churches hurting the children and worry less about what is being written.
