Thanksgiving Blues

This is a month of happiness but could be a month of sadness for many.  There are people out there that have no one to spend this holiday with and this may cause deep depression and suicidal thoughts.  We do not want any unhappy people spending this time of year alone and broken hearted.  Here are some alternatives to spending this holiday season alone.

1.Volunteer your time at a food drive, collecting food for those who are less fortunate.

2.Volunteer your time at a homeless shelter/community center/church that serves Thanksgiving dinner to the homeless.

3.Go to church.

4.Volunteer your time at the retirement/assisted living homes and spend time with the old folks...they need love too.  Some of the elderly that live in these places don't have family that come to see them, for some reason or other.  They would love to see you.

5. Volunteer at the hospital and help pass out meals or just spend time with those who are hospital bound.

If you experience severe depression and think about hurting yourself, please call your local hospital/Doctor/counselor/preacher and tell them how you are feeling.  There is no shame in feeling this way and there is no shame in getting help for it.
