What does the Future hold?

The world as we know it, is going to hell in a hand basket.  I look at my children and wonder what their future's are going to be like.  With the economy going down the wrong road...by outsourcing jobs so greedy business owners can pay worker's less.  The President is making life harder for those on SSI and those who are or are about to retire.  There is going to be nothing left for my generation when we are ready to retire.  What happened to the world...why did we as a society let this happen.  Our old people are re-living the depression, they are struggling to keep fed.  The food banks are barely able to help people anymore...why are we so worried about raising money and sending food to other countries when we are the one's who are broke and hungry?  Help the one's at home before trying to save the rest of the world...most of the countries we help, hate us!  I fear that there will be nothing for the future generations of the world.  The governement seems to worry more about money and "politics"...popularity...image!  What happened to caring about America...our constitution...our rights...seeing that America grows?  All that seemed to take a back seat to greed.  The way things are going, our children will not even be able to afford to get their own place when they are older.  Oh what a world, what a world...it makes me think strongly about moving to another country that actually cares for it's people.  Can't our government see that American's are not a country to be oppressed...our society will rally up...there will be chaos if things keep getting worse.  People in other countries are getting sick of their rulers crap too...and they are rising against the "man" I guess you would say.  The future is not looking good for anyone except those who put us in this situation, and they don't even realize that someday their money will be gone and their decendents will have nothing because of their choices.  Woe to the future leaders of the world, they will have a very big mess to clean up.

Cheap Thanksgiving Decor

Decorating for Thanksgiving can be as easy as walking out the front door.  Much of the decorations you can use can be found in the yard.  Multicolored leaves, pine cones, dried out corn stalks...last months pumpkins if they are still good and not smashed on the road:)  Decorating for Thanksgiving can be as cheap as where you shop.  Consignment shops and the local Dollar Store are great places to find cheap decorations.  Foliage is a big way to decorate for this month, you cannot go wrong with fall colors.

Thanksgiving Blues

This is a month of happiness but could be a month of sadness for many.  There are people out there that have no one to spend this holiday with and this may cause deep depression and suicidal thoughts.  We do not want any unhappy people spending this time of year alone and broken hearted.  Here are some alternatives to spending this holiday season alone.

1.Volunteer your time at a food drive, collecting food for those who are less fortunate.

2.Volunteer your time at a homeless shelter/community center/church that serves Thanksgiving dinner to the homeless.

3.Go to church.

4.Volunteer your time at the retirement/assisted living homes and spend time with the old folks...they need love too.  Some of the elderly that live in these places don't have family that come to see them, for some reason or other.  They would love to see you.

5. Volunteer at the hospital and help pass out meals or just spend time with those who are hospital bound.

If you experience severe depression and think about hurting yourself, please call your local hospital/Doctor/counselor/preacher and tell them how you are feeling.  There is no shame in feeling this way and there is no shame in getting help for it.

The month of Thanks

This is the month to give thanks, though we should give thanks every day...this month is when the world comes together to do so.  Families will get together around a dinner table stuffed to the max with delicious food and enjoy what they have and who they have it with.  Thanksgiving is a good excuse to spend time with the whole family and eat more than you should.  I cannot wait for future thanksgiving dinners when my children are older...with their spouses and children.  My house will be filled with laughter and many decendents and lots of yummy food.  This thanksgiving be sure to spend the day with those who love you best, or spend it by giving back to the people.  There will be more to come on this subject...enjoy this month of thanksgiving.

Jesus had a wife?

So...I read today that Jesus may have had a wife.  Apparently some writing was found where Jesus said "My wife..." and something about her being one of his disciples.  The Vatican is having a fit over this of course...as they do anything that has to do with Jesus possibly having a mate.  When the book called Da Vinci Code came out the Vatican flared up at that, as well as the book Angels and Demons.  One suggests that Jesus has a blood line, that Mary Magdalene was his wife and they had a child.  The other book brings to light the mysterious Illuminati.

Lets think about this for a minute.  Jesus was probably in his late 30's to 40's when he was murdered on the cross...he was a man made in God's image as were we.  Would it be so horrible if Jesus had a wife?  Why is this even an issue for people.  Just because Jesus may have been married does not take away the awesomeness of his legacy.  It does not change the fact that Jesus was the son of God, that he was a blessing to us all, that he was a miracle worker.

Him possibly being married is really no big deal.  Also...just because the bible refers to Mary Magdalen as a prostitute does not really mean she was one.  This may have been done deliberately to make her look unimportant to future readers of that information, the people had a very dominating higher power back then.  Either way...I just want to put out there that Jesus being married is not that big of a deal.

If Jesus was married my heart goes out to the woman that had to stand there and watch him die the way he did.  Hopefully the scientists can get to the bottom of this and find out if this writing has any merit.  I think it is funny that with all the crazy things going on in this world, the priests molesting children and stuff...and this little thing gets the Vatican in a rage.  REALLY!  I think they need to worry more about the people in their churches hurting the children and worry less about what is being written.

September 11

(There were really nice pictures posted but they are not showing up now.)

Today marks a day in this generation's history when our World Trade Center, Pentagon and a field in Pennsylvania were attacked by terrorists...and our president at the time possibly knew all about it and did nothing.  Generations after us will look back on this day as we look back on Independence Day...as a day long ago where a lot of people died and it was a sad time for those who lived through it.  For those of us that lived through this tragedy...it will forever be burned into our minds and hearts.  There are mothers missing children, children missing parents, brothers...sisters...family...friends...gone, and all they did that day was get up and go to work.

On September 11, 2001 I was working in a factory in Maryland...I was 18 years old.  I was listening to a rock station based out of Baltimore when the radio host got on the air and said a plane crashed into one of our World Trade Centers.  As I began to process this and think maybe it was a fatal pilot error, the radio host came back on the air and said a second plane hit the second Trade Center Tower.  My jaw dropped and my heart started to ache for the families of those who were in those buildings...I prayed that the people in the building got out safe.  Then, the radio host got on the air again and said another plane hit our Pentagon...this is when my insides froze and I realized this was an organized attack.  I had a flash back to my first years in school where they would have us go out into the halls and do a practice drill of what to do if a nuclear bomb attack happened, I realized that we could possibly be invaded and war declared.

 The Pentagon

The radio host got on the air yet again and announced that another plane went down in Pennsylvania somewhere.  I was waiting for an alert of some sort to start screaming over the radio waves...I pictured TV's sounding off "THIS IS NOT A TEST",  telling us to go underground or something.  Luckily no more attacks came...but the devastation was far from over.  Rescue crews started trying to evacuate people and rescue them from the carnage.   As Fire Fighters and Police started going through the building in an attempt to get as many people as possible to safety...one of the buildings collapsed.  I watched the footage on TV...seeing the people running in fear, through the debris...I could not even imagine the horror experienced by those who were there.

Watching strong, grown men have an emotional breakdown because of the turmoil, exhaustion, and every not good emotional and mental toll ever known, their look of anguish will never leave me.  The faces of those trying to find as many people as possible...the determination...the loyalty to fellow man...the heroism.  I could see their bodies weighed down with fatigue...but the fire of determination burned white hot in their eyes.  They were not going to stop...the Firefighters and Police, Doctor's, nurses, EMT's...civilians... everyone came together and fought through the blinding dust to get to those trapped inside.  Dead or alive, I could see in the eye's of those searching...the defiant assurance that they were not leaving until they found every last body.

Nothing was going to stop us from saving our people, and nothing ever will.

It has been 11 years since this happened to us...we waged war and brought down the ones responsible for organizing this attack on our country and we still continue to seek out others like them.  Those who knew the people who's lives were lost in the buildings and on the planes are still trying to pick up the pieces.  We lost countless more people when we went to war over this attack...we associate "We will never forget" with 9/11...and the words are true.  No one who has a coherent memory of that day will ever forget what happened.

My heart and thoughts go out to any and all who were affected by this devastation.  I was merely an American citizen watching and listening to the aftermath on my TV or radio and I still get emotional when I see these pictures...because I remember the pain in the eye's of some of those people that were down there...it broke my heart to watch my fellow man go through such tragedy.  I will remember the tears, and the will of the men and women who were at ground zero.

I pray that future generations do not have to experience anything like this...but history has shown that they may have to at some point.

May those lost rest in peace...and may those who lost find peace in living.

If there are any typo's I apologize...this is from my heart and I wanted to express the way 9/11 made me feel the best I could through words.  Maybe my children will find this someday and always remember what happened that day.  The pictures were found around the internet by google searching September 11 and looking at images.

Back to School Bullying

Please keep in mind our students are going back to school and back to people that may be making their lives a living hell.  Please parents...be mindful of how your child is reacting to going back to school, how does their behavior change once school starts?  Do they seem to have a fear of returning back to school that goes beyond the normal back to school jitters?

Go to Please go to www.stopbullying.gov and read up on the warning signs that can help you determine weather your child is being bullied or is being a bully.

Please take this seriously parents and Teachers.....they learn what is right and wrong from us!!!  There have been too many suicides in the past few years due to bullying!  Do not assume your child is fine...ask questions and be involved!!!
